Obesity fast food in America is the nightmare of the causes of obesity these days. It is especially so when they are so easily available and it seems the only thing that can satisfy their hunger. It is addictive and many people are not going now by every week without tasting of French fries or sundaes. Obesity facts have shown that it is one of the main causes of obesity as it adds calories your body at an alarming rate.

Fast food is socially accepted due to globalization. These foods not only add extra calories, but they are also unhealthy in nature. Calories extras that not broken down by the body is stored as fat, which leads to obesity.

The body is not structured in a way that fast food is a source of energy accepted. Most people know, but still they consume on a daily basis due to an avalanche of announcements and the wide availability of points around the world.

To solve the problems of obesity, you need to eat less unhealthy food and exercise more often. I’m not saying cut fast food completely in his life, only consume considerably less if you want to avoid obesity. Cardiovascular exercise will help enhance your metabolic rate to burn fat. Remember that obesity is in large part due to lack of exercise. A study of fast food obesity have shown that the companies themselves are to promote healthy lifestyles and include brochures on their trays in what is healthy.

The best way to overcome obesity is be aware of the types of food you eat and have a regular exercise program.

Nature supplements are a good way to help fight the urge to take fast food. They suppress hunger naturally and safely without damaging the body at all! They could be a great help in their battle against obesity. For more information, please click here [http://naturaldietpill.co.cc].

Obesity is a health condition wherein body fat is increased and unused, reaching a dangerous point in a person’s health. This happens when the energy from food intake is greater than its use. This causes the body to store energy as fat.

There are a number of factors that cause obesity. Some of which include a genetic predisposition, an underlying illness, eating disorders, medications, poor mental health, lack of sleep, etc. Obesity causes quite a lot of damage considering the number of related diseases that are brought on by this health condition. To make matters worse, obesity incidences has increased that it is now considered a global threat. The rates of child obesity incidences have, in fact, tripled in the United States since 1997. As a response, we’ve tried to combat obesity with diets, exercise, behavior modification, surgery and more recently, drug therapy.

However, nothing beats prevention by a long shot. Its like building a good defense system. The goal is to prevent obesity, specifically child obesity from reaching into adulthood. If you’re your child is showing symptoms of child obesity have your child diagnosed as early as possible. Early detection of the symptoms of child obesity will yield better results because the longer bad habits are allowed, the harder it is to remove them.

Understand that the symptoms of child obesity may include asthma, type 2 diabetes, heart problems, increased blood pressure, increased cholesterol level, sleep apnea, bone and joint problems and psychological problems. Factors that contribute to the symptoms of child obesity are excessive television watching, minimum to no exercise and excessive eating especially of high-calorie and high-fat foods. Obesity cannot be diagnosed through one test. If your child is up for diagnosis, the child’s Body Mass Index shall me measured, as well as his waist circumference, forms or fat and other assessments. A child can be considered ‘medically obese’ when the child’s weight have posed health risks such as those stated before. You can determine the degree to which the child’s obesity has reached by calculating the child’s Body Mass Index (BMI). Just multiply the child’s weight in kilograms by the square of his height in meters as shown: BMI=kg/m2. The resulting number should be compared to the appropriate age percentile.

Remember that an overweight child can be at risk of becoming obese. If the symptoms of child obesity are quite obvious, take action and muster both yours and your child’s courage to fight the condition before it worsens. Life is much too important.

Here in the technology and information age, we have more knowledge and advancements than ever before in history. Sixty years ago, who would have ever thought that you could send an instant message over a phone, let alone take a picture with it? Sixty years ago, who would have thought we would be capable of sending a man to the moon, but fail the war on obesity and cancer?

Isn’t it oddly shocking that America is so well-advanced in everything except health and fitness? While the fitness industry tells us to count calories and exercise for fat loss, we grow fatter and fatter as a nation.

Running parallel to the fitness industry is the fast food chains, doing their best to keep on the top of “healthy eating” trend. It seems the fast-food industry can tailor to anyone’s dieting needs with “fat-free,” “low-calorie,” and “low-carb” menu items.

Today, fast food is considered a normal eating venture among the average person. People aren’t just eating out on special occasions or weekends anymore; they are eating out all the time. But is it the calories in fast food that’s so destructive to the body and waistline or does the problem lie deeper?

Fast Food and Obesity

Fast food is simply tasty, ready-cooked meals packed to go. Fast food has been around since the early 1900′s, but its popularity sparked and grew in the 1940′s with the birth of good ole’ Mickey D’s; quick food priced cheaply. Within a few years similar fast-food operations popped up everywhere in the blink of an eye.

With the compelling rise in fast-food restaurants since the 1940′s, oddly, too, started the rise in obesity and cancer during that same time period. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to do the math and link fast food to the obesity and cancer crisis.

Fast Food and its Nutritional Value

To say fast food has a “nutritional value” is an oxymoron. There is absolutely nothing nutritional about fast food. Fast food simply feeds hunger and/or your immediate craving. Fast food does not feed your body in the form of usable lasting energy or building materials, the essence your body thrives on for life itself.

Fast food is highly processed with a wide array of additives. The concept of fast food is obviously, food ready-to-eat and served quickly. To ensure fast food’s low cost to the consumer, the fast food products are made with highly-processed ingredients to give it shelf-life, to hold consistency, and to enhance flavor. Fast food is altered from its original healthy form it was meant to nourish the body with, to a denatured form that lacks any nutritional value whatsoever.

According to Diana Schwarzbein, M.D., “The FDA Total Diet Study found that fast-food hamburgers, across the board, contained 113 different pesticide residues.” So my question is why does the FDA want to regulate the sale of vitamins, minerals, and herbs that are actually beneficial for the body when there’s a linking fast-food / cancer / obesity crisis on our hands?

Why Fast Food is Fattening and Dangerous

Wake up people. It’s not the calories in fast food that’s damaging to your health and waistline, it’s the chemical additives such as aspartame and MSG (monosodium glutamate). These chemical additives are approved by the FDA and studies show that they lead to weight and disease issues.

Synthetic chemicals added to processed food, including fast food, damage your body’s cells. Your body is made up of nutrients found in plants and animals you eat. Man-made food items loaded with pesticides, as well as aspartame, margarine, and other man-made chemicals do not nourish your body. If your body can’t use what you put into it you will gain fat and decrease health.

Since we can’t visually see what actually happens at the molecular level when we eat processed food, we discount it and rely on the FDA to do our thinking for us. After all, if its FDA approved, it MUST be okay to eat, right? Not at all.

Nutrients from the food we eat allow us to burn fat and be healthy. Your body cannot process synthetic chemicals. If a food item can’t be processed, it will end up lodged in areas of your body, primarily fatty areas and tissues, creating an acidic pH.

A simple fast-food chicken breast can contain everything from modified corn starch to hydrolyzed corn gluten. Hello? Chicken comprised of corn? A fast-food chicken nugget is nearly 60% corn, and corn is what farmers use to fatten up cattle.

Michael Pollan, author of, The Omnivore’s Dilemma says it perfectly – “How did we ever get to a point where we need investigative journalist to tell us where our food comes from?”

A good visual that Dr. Mark A. Gustafson found is that it takes fifty-one days to digest fast food chicken nuggets or French fries. FIFTY-ONE DAYS! Does that sound healthy? I could care less about the caloric, fat, or carbohydrate content. That’s not the problem, people. The problem with fast food is that it’s void of nutrients and loaded with chemicals not recognized by the body.

What’s even more devastating is the book The Fast Food Diet written by Stephan Sinatra, M.D. This is a sad state when a doctor promotes eating chemically-altered food with addictive chemicals and damaged fats that scars the artery walls and contribute to total metabolic damage.

Eating Good and Avoiding the Hidden Dangers

Granted, calories do count to an extent, but what counts more is the quality of the calorie. If you want to lose fat then you have to change your eating habits. This doesn’t mean opt for Healthy Choice® and Smart One’s® frozen meals because they appear to be healthy. Food manufacturers use deceptive marking tactics to create an illusion to make people buy their product.

To lose fat and keep it off you should choose foods in their natural state, such as fresh organic cuts of meat, fresh organic fruits and vegetables, essential fats, and plenty of filtered water. It’s vital that you go back to the basics.

Make eating fresh and organic food choices the bulk of your diet. If you do that, you will never have to count calories again. The quality of food outweighs the quantity every time.

Obesity in America is the number one health threat. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have already warned the public about the looming threat. Clocking in at a staggering $122.9 billion in costs; obesity also sends nearly 400,000 Americans to an early grave.

There is a noticeable reduction in the quality of life of obese persons. The condition impacts lifestyle and leads to lower self esteem, depression and discomfort in social situations.

More serious diseases such as diabetes and hypertension generally enter through the door of obesity in America. A phenomenal two thirds are overweight. A common disease in America is high blood pressure, and it is touted that stress is a prevalent health problem here as well.

There are many reasons for the overweight statistics. Much of these statistics come from overeating and poor eating habits. The total cost of overweight and obesity in America was $99.2 billion in 1995. The cost of obesity had ballooned to about $117 billion in 2000.

High blood pressure has increased from 25 to 28% throughout 1991 to 2000. In numbers, the movement was from 50 million to 58 million. This silent disease has proven to be the leading cause of strokes and heart attacks. To make matters worse, a whopping 30% of Americans with high blood pressure are unaware that they have it!

Meanwhile, a staggering 75 – 90% of all visits to primary care physicians are for stress related problems. More than 20 million Americans between the ages of eighteen to fifty have anxiety disorders. Stress goes on the attack from all directions. It affects everything we do. Recognizing the causes of stress is half the battle. Avoiding it is the other half.

Proactol can help in the battle against obesity. It is a licensed medical product that has been recommended by doctors for the treatment of obesity and weight management. It is also proven to decrease food cravings and lower blood cholesterol levels.

Obesity is one of the headlines most common stations of radio, TV channels, magazines and news articles.

Obesity has become an epidemic. Almost two-thirds of adults in the United States are overweight and on third parties one are obese. To compound the problem, childhood obesity is also running out of control. Recent figures indicate that the number of overweight children and adolescents has doubled in the past two decades. Approximately 15 per cent of children aged 6 to 19 years and almost 11 per cent of pre-school children are considered obese.

Diabetes, heart disease, stroke, hypertension, high cholesterol and some types of cancer are important because obesity health risks. Obesity is the cause of around 80% of type 2 diabetes, approximately 70% of cardiovascular disease and 42% of breast and colon cancers (US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)).

Obesity is becoming principal of our health care dollars. Obesity in the United States spending 75 million dollars a year in medical expenses. The study – which does not include children, whose obesity rates are rising–found that the 5.7 per cent of the expenses of the health of the nation for the treatment of obesity. Expenditure of hospital with childhood obesity increased from 35 million dollars (1979) to 127 million dollars (1999).

In short, obesity has become a problem for health crucial for our nation. This is a multifaceted problem.
It is to blame for our super food size or our modern sedentary lifestyle is to blame? Super super size hamburger, French fries, attacking soft drinks; “Everything what you can eat” food can be a part of the problem. Lack of exercise, sitting in front of the television or computer for the majority of our days can be added to the problem. But what not millions of people who are in a program of diet, lose weight permanently? Why is there so much variation in gain or lose weight?

Millions of Americans are trying to lose weight, spending approximately $ 30 million a year in products and programs of diet. People are losing 20-30 pounds in a month and a good feeling. But if you check with the same people that five years later, you will find that almost all have recovered any weight lost. A national group recently requested data to determine if any commercial diet program might be the long term success. Not a single program could do so. Unfortunately the yo-yo weight loss is one major health risk.

Changing further research adds to the confusion. A few years ago, people said to eat low/no-fat diet, but now we have given is that some fats are essential for the organism. Transfats were the election with butter, but we are now finding that transfats are more dangerous. Diet of the Atkin is very popular these days, but also carries risk of kidney disease, gout and many other problems.

We have a serious problem and need a serious solution. Ayurveda, the science 5000 year of healthy life has a solution to our current problem.

In the perspective of the Ayurveda, there must be a major shift in awareness. Ayurveda does not treat obesity; This is a person who is obese or weight. Like everything else in nature, there is so much diversity and variation in each person and “size there is no all”.

Susan, a programmer of computers in his 30 years of age, he complained, “is not fair.” “Linda and I are in the same diet plan since last month and who has already lost 10 pounds, yet I have not lost even two pounds”. He could not understand why he was so difficult for her to lose weight. According to Ayurveda Linda and Susan are doing different from the mind and the cuerpo-llamado body Constitution and why were different answers. We are all very different, so, obviously a diet program does not work for everyone. Ayurveda respects the uniqueness of each person and helps to create custom plans tailored to maintain unique to each individual balance. The following example will be how to know the body Constitution help.

Tania was a girl of ten year weighed about 140 pounds and wearing clothes of size 16. Along with the problem of weight, they failed their degrees and it was diagnosed with Add. Mother of Tania had tried everything but nothing worked. They had fears that the girl would have to go to school for special education this add and his poor academic performance.

Tania was one of the thousands of children who are obese. She was in children typical diet, doughnuts for breakfast, burgers and fries, or something similar in the school for lunch and cookies and chips after school. The dinner was pizza or Macaroni and cheese. She was glued to the television after school hours and just came out to play or your bike ride.

Tania, according to Ayurveda is a kapha, a boy with a Constitution kapha, who was doing all it can to exacerbate its Kapha and was the cause of their obesity. Then followed a regime of Ayurveda – eating food light such as toast and tea ginger for breakfasts, sandwiches of meat during the lunch hour and cakes from corn or rice as a snack popcorn. For dinner, she ate rice and vegetables. The big difference in their lifestyle was going to a park to ride a bicycle or playing in the swing or a slide for couple of hours each day. The results were surprising: lost 12 pounds in the first month. She went from size 16 to size 12. His skills improved and had no signs of ADD after… Tania liked so much that when his mother and his brother ate pizza refused their food. She is still is on this regime to eat and is in perfect health and doing great in school.

Mary, a 30-year-old Secretary followed Ayurveda regime of diet and lifestyle. Its Constitution was Kapha, Pitta. She tried weight loss programmes. It was at a low carbohydrate diet fat/low, but she could not keep his weight steadily. When he heard about Ayurveda, she changed to food balance Kapha Pitta (eat more fruits, vegetables and grains and adding spices with moderation) and Ayurvedic herbs. He began to walk for one hour, five days a week. She lost about 15 pounds in three months and has maintained for more than three years.

In addition to count calories there are other rituals about food and exercise have to follow. For example, Tom, a computer engineer, used to work from 6 to 22. You could eat in his Office several times and then dinner at his home after 22. I used to wake up with allergies, headaches, and felt very lethargic. When he changed his choice of food and began to eat lunch at noon and dinner in 19 rather than 22, as well as playing tennis, 3 times per week, started losing weight and feel better.

If young and old, begin to eat according to our basic bodily Constitution and follow a few simple guidelines, our image of health will be very different and very positive. We can prevent many diseases and enjoy life. Ayurveda has a different understanding about weight and obesity along with simple and proven ways to solve the problem.

Obesity refers to a state of a person’s bodyweight when it’s 20% or more above normal bodyweight.

Obesity increases risks of developing high blood pressure, diabetes (type 2), heart disease, stroke, gallbladder disease and cancer of the breast, prostate and colon.

In the US, about 300,000 deaths per year are directly related to obesity……..

It’s not just a health hazard, it’s a life threatening disease as well.

Understanding what causes obesity will help you battle it more effectively.

And surprise!Surprise! You’d think that “no exercise and overeating” are the culprits…….

These 2 of course are the main causes since we are bombarded daily with plenty of high calorie food, but because of our increasingly sedentary lifestyles, we don’t exercise at all or don’t do enough exercise, so we struggle real hard not to get fat.

But there’s also other causes – other than the “big 2″ – “no exercise and overeating”, that contribute to obesity.

Ahem…….If you hate exercise and like to eat, you can now breathe easier knowing that “no exercise and overeating” are not the only culprits that cause obesity……

Right on. I bet you want to know what’re these other factors that cause obesity…..Let’s have a look at them and see whether they resonate with you.

Not Enough Sleep is What Causes Obesity

You’re surprised?

You think it should be the exact opposite, right? That not enough sleep would cause you to lose weight (because it affects your body’s health), not to gain weight!

However, several studies suggest that there’s a relationship between how much you sleep and your weight gain…..

The first is the US Health & Nutrition Examination Survey which concludes that if you sleep less than 7 hours per night, you tend to have a higher body mass index (BMI) than a person who sleeps more hours.

The other is a study conducted by the US Nurses’Health, which tracks 68,000 women for 16 years in which it finds that women who sleep an average of 5 hours per night gain more weight than women who sleep 6 hours, who in turn gain more weight than women who sleep 7 hours.

Obesity reserachers have suggested that this is so due to the fact that if you don’t have enough sleep, your metabolism could be changed as Leptin, the hormone that signals satiety decreases while Ghrelin, the hormone which signals hunger, increases and this cranks up your appetite.

We all know obesity affects sleep, so these studies’ results which say that not enough sleep could lead to weight gain are really “eye-openers”…….

And we’re sleeping less, that’s a fact we can’t deny, given our hectic lifestyle and the firece demands life put on us.

The Americans slept an average of 8.5 hours per night in 1960. In a 2002 poll by the National Sleep Foundation, the average hour had decreased to less than 7 hours per night.

The results show that the decreased hours of sleep was partly associated with the increase in obesity.

Prenatal Effects Are What Cause Obesity

The odds that you’ll become fat could be set, at least in part, before you’re born. It’s shown that obese mothers would likely give birth to children who’ll become obese themselves later in life.

You could say that this is largely due to genetics but there’s evidence to suggest that some “intra-uterine programming” has taken place here.

In the study for mice during pregnancy, offsprings of mice fed with high-fat food are more likely to become fat than offsprings of mice fed with normal food.

Fat Equals Fecund – This Is What Causes Obesity

If you’re fatter, chances are you’ll have more children. A study carried out by Minot State University in North Dakota concludes this.

It shows that there’s a small but significant correlation between BMI and reproductive rates as normal weight women have an average of 3.2 children while overweight and obese women have an average of 3.5 children.

The intriguing question is this:

Does having more children cause women to gain weight or does being overweight or obese cause women to produce more children?

Answer is probably both.

Having more children increases your chance of escalating into the “fat” territory, if for no other reason than poor sleep.

On the other hand, being obese or overweight can lead to lower socio-economic status, which is in turn associated with having more children, the study reveals.

Older In Age is What Causes Obesity

Well, if you’re older, you tend to be fatter than others! Survey by the US National Center for Health Statistics found that if you were aged between 40 – 79, you were 3 times as likely to be heavier as those aged younger.

The most probable reason?

Ah…Sigh….Due to decrease in your metabolism……

As you get older, your body’s ability to metabolize food slows down. This is why you would notice that you eat the same amount of food and do the same activities as you did when you were 20 years old, but at age 40, you gain weight.

Temperature Effects Cause Obesity

Studies have shown that in comfortable temperature, you use less energy, thereby burning less body fat. In hotter temperature environment, you’ll sweat a lot more which in turn uses more energy. There’s also evidence to suggest that you’ll reduce the amount of food intake in hotter temperature environment.

Less Smoking Or Quitting Smoking Causes Obesity

If you’re a smoker, you’re likely thinner than others. So, if you cut down smoking or quit altogether, you’ll pile on the pounds, though no one knows why this is so…..Most likely is because nicotine is an appetite suppressant and seemingly can raise your metabolic rate…..

The US National Center for Health Statistics calculates that smokers kicking the habit have been responsible for a small but significant portion of the US obesity epidemic.

The Center works out that smokers who quit in the previous decade are more likely to be obese than smokers and those who never smoke. Among men, almost 50% of the quitters are obese compared with 37% of non-smokers and 28% of smokers.

Pollution Can Cause Obesity

Our environment has become more polluted and inevitably, we’re exposed more to pollutants like industrial chemicals (dyes, plastic wastes, pesticides, herbicides, gaseous compound, solvents….).

There’s evidence that a small amount of some of these chemicals can lead to weight gain. Studies have found that when people are exposed to these chemicals found in food, the higher the toxic level in the food, the greater the body weight.

This is because some of these chemicals are endocrine disruptors that disrupt the functions of hormones like oestrogen.

You know right, when your hormone (oestrogen) does not function well, it wreaks havoc in your body, including weight gain?

Drug Use Is What Causes Obesity

Some drugs have ugly side effects – one of the most common ones – weight gain.

Want to know which drugs?

Well, drug for high blood pressure, is one.

Drugs to treat HIV, is another.

Endometriosis drugs to treat endometriosis, is a classic example that can fatten you up.

Contraceptive pills will pile pounds on you.

Diabetes medications will pad you out…..

So, don’t be too over-dependent on drugs…..

First Child In Older Women – A Cause For Obesity

The mean age of women giving first birth in the US has increased from 21.4 in 1970 to 24.9 in 2000.

The implication for this is that an older woman at first birth seems to be a risk factor for obesity.

The results from the US National Heart, Lung & Blood Institute’s study found that the odds of a child being obese increases

by about 14% for every 5 extra years of his or her mother’s age, though no one knows for sure why.

Could poor sleep cause this? Probably.

Also, as family size decreases, first-borns make up for a greater share of the population – evidenced in the US wherein in 1976, 9.6% of women in their 40s had one child but in 2004, the percentage had increased to 17.4%. This combination of older women and more single children could be contributing to the obesity epidemic.

Like Marrying Like – A Cause For Obesity

I’m sure you’ve seen the pattern -

We tend to pair off according to looks.

So we do like wise when comes to body size…..

If you’re thin, you’re more likely to marry a thin person and if you’re fat, you’re more likely to marry a fat person…

On its own, this would not account for the increase in obesity but if we include other factors such as genetics and obese people produce more children, they could amplify the increase in obesity from other causes.

In conclusion, obesity isn’t due to a single cause but is multifactorial in origin.

The causes discussed here are by no means exhaustive…

You could have other causes like genetics, overeating, slower metabolism, gender, illness, psychological factors, diet rich in simple carbohydrates, frequency of eating…

S-o-o-o-o,

Can you then jump in glee because “no exercise and overeating” are not the only major causes of obesity? Since you hate to exercise and like to eat? (Aren’t we all?)

Can you then don’t do exercise and eat with no restrain?

Hey, certainly not! A reasonable amount of exercise and healthy eating are still on the card for you…

What the obesity researchers try to say is this -

when we think of what causes obesity, we normally point to “no exercise and overeating” as the culprits…

Oh, they are.

But if you’re still on the heavier side even after doing enough exercise and eat healthily, then you might want to look beyond these “big 2 ” factors to find out the true reason(s) for your weight problem.

Other factors like those mentioned above could cause obesity as well…

It’s good for you to find out, to better address your problem.

However, adopting a healthy lifestyle that inculcates the habit of exercise and eating healthy food should be your first priority, to stave off further weight gain.

If you do this, even weight losses as small as 10% of your bodyweight can improve your health…

This anthology of statistics on childhood obesity in America uncovers that the case has reached epidemic proportion over the last few decades. And as a matter of fact, the number of obese children in the United States of America has tripled. Even though there is a significant difference in being obese and being overweight, being overweight is a sign that the child in the end will face the problem of obesity. The list of health problems together with obesity is absolutely drawn-out. In addition, obesity is one of the health problems which are easy to distinguish, but very difficult to attend.

The measure of person’s weight in relation to height is called Body Mass Index. An individual is accreted to as obese when the result of his BMI goes beyond 30 in which the normal BMI is 18.5-24.9. This might be a quite difficult to understand due to the calculations involved in the process. Nuestros ninos tener acceso temprano y continuo a este estilo de vida de enfermedades a traves de nuestra activacion.

Nuestros hijos no saben mejor. Saben que les gusta lo que se vende y sirvio y seguira anhelan estas sustancias y letargicos actividades si lo permite.

Servir “It” Y “Lo” comen!

Bienestar vivo y ellos Will Follow!

Debe vivirlo y en serio antes de que se puede esperar que ensenarlo o lo modelo. Todo comienza con usted.
